Can I extract subtitles, not just text?

Yes. SRT and VTT exports carry proper cue timings, so they drop straight onto a video timeline or into an HTML5 player.

Do the timestamps line up with the episode?

Yes. Timings are measured against the source audio, so a timestamp in the transcript matches the same moment in the episode.

Can I extract a whole show at once?

Not from this page, it handles one episode per link. Connect the show in the dashboard to transcribe episodes in bulk as they publish.

Is there a limit on episode length?

On the free tier a single episode can be up to 30 minutes, which is also the whole monthly allowance. Paid plans remove the per-episode cap and raise the allowance to 1,200 or 6,000 minutes a month.

How is this different from the Spotify transcript generator?

They are the same engine with different emphasis. The generator page is about producing a transcript; this page is about the export side, subtitle files, timings, and structured output.

Can I extract the transcript as JSON for a script or app?

Yes. The JSON export gives each segment a start time, an end time, and a speaker. Paid plans also expose an API for doing this without the browser.

Does extracting download or alter the original audio?

No. The audio is read for transcription and not retained, and nothing about the source episode is modified.

Can I come back and re-download a transcript later?

Yes. Transcripts are saved to your account, and you can re-export them in any of the seven formats without spending minutes again.

A transcript is only half of what an episode contains. The other half is when, which sentence lands at 04:12, where the tangent starts, which thirty seconds are worth clipping. Strip the timings out and you have prose; keep them and you have something you can cut video against, cite in an article, or jump to in a player.

Every export here keeps that structure. The SRT and VTT files are ordinary caption files with proper cues, so an editor or a player reads them without conversion. The JSON keeps each segment as an object with a start, an end, and a speaker, which is the shape you want if something downstream is going to search or slice it.

The plain-text export is the one that throws the timings away on purpose, because when you are pasting a quote into a draft, cue numbers are noise.

It's a web-based app that converts podcast episodes from Spotify and Apple Podcasts into clean, accurate text in just seconds.

Why did I build this up? You may ask.

I built it because I listened to a lot of podcasts.

And at the end of each episode, I was forgetting what was being said.

So I wanted a way to quickly take notes or revisit specific moments without rewinding,

without re-listening the whole podcast.

Uploading files or manually transcribing just wasn't practical.

So I decided to make something that's fast.
