FAQ
Account and billing questions
On the free plan there are two reasons: the episode is longer than 30 minutes, or it is longer than what is left of your 30 minutes per month. The message you see says which one, and which plan would transcribe that episode.
No. Minutes are held while a transcription runs and charged only when it completes, from the length of the audio. A job that fails or is refused releases them, and you can try the same link again.
Use the link to a single episode, not to the show. Private, deleted and region-locked episodes cannot be reached, and a YouTube video with no captions cannot be read from its link: upload the audio file instead, which runs full speech recognition.
Open Profile and choose Cancel subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not billed again.
A new subscription can be refunded within seven days of the first payment if you have transcribed less than 15 minutes of audio. Renewals and unused minutes are not refunded. Email podcaststotext@gmail.com with your account email and the Stripe transaction ID. The full terms are on the refund policy page.
Delete a transcript from your library and it is removed. To close the account, open Profile and choose Delete account: that removes your transcripts, files and account records permanently.
Email podcaststotext@gmail.com or use the contact form. Replies usually come within 48 hours. For a transcription problem, include the episode link so we can reproduce it.
